The Grand Rapids Business Journal’s editors and reporters reviewed hundreds of local business leaders who made waves in 2016. After considering those who might have especially long-term effects on the West Michigan regional economy or beyond, no less than 48 finalists were named in 16 categories as “Newsmakers of the Year.” Attorney Phil Grashoff, was named in the Food Category for his formation and contributions to the Southwest & West Michigan AgriBusiness Alliance.
