Intellectual property is one of the most often overlooked assets on the balance sheets of businesses today. The intangible nature of these assets leaves them susceptible to being out of sight, out of mind, and, therefore, unprotected. The following 3-step assessment is a great start toward identifying and protecting your intellectual property asset portfolio.
Kotz Sangster was proud to sponsor the St. Joseph High School’s athletics department through the annual “Birdies Fore Bears” fundraiser. The event is hosted each year at the Lost Dunes Golf Club in Bridgman, MI, and this year included a scramble-style golf outing, silent auction, cigar rolling, live auction, reception and awards. All event proceeds benefit the high school’s athletics program.
As has become tradition for the fundraiser, Kotz Sangster invited a professional Cuban cigar roller to support the event. Fernando Morales, who’s based out of Miami, FL, has become a staple and highlight of the fundraiser. Everyone in attendance had a wonderful time, and attorney Mitt Drew, Managing Director of the firm’s Southwest Michigan offices, stated that the law firm is grateful for the opportunity to continue supporting our local communities through an event like this.
