Profile & Practice Areas

Jovan Dragovic provides clients with advice and assistance with increasingly complex legal issues confronting physicians, physician organizations, group practices, and ancillary health care items and service providers and suppliers. This necessarily involves assisting clients in navigating and obtaining superior results in the face of the complex panoply of federal and state health care laws and regulations. Joe understands the increasing administrative burden placed on health care items and services providers and suppliers. This focuses his commitment to providing the highest level of service to clients through high levels of knowledge and skill with respect to the law and how it interacts with the business concerns and interests of health care clients.

Joe concentrates his professional activities in the areas of health care business transactions, including but not limited to:

  • Organization and entity structure and creation
  • Acquisitions and business combinations
  • Employment and independent contractor relationships
  • Document preparation
  • Regulatory guidance and compliance

Joe’s work on the transactional and regulatory side of health care law practice provides deeper insights into controversies that arise between health care industry participants. As a result, he is engaged by clients in litigation of controversies and disputes among health care providers and suppliers. This is an advantage to health care clients who experience disputes that result in litigation.

The types of cases which Joe has successfully managed for clients include:

  • Disputes between closely-held entities and their owners
  • Contract and commercial litigation controversies arising out of purchases, leases professional service contracts, mergers, billing and collection and other reimbursement issues
